The RedHouse Nursing Home celebrated its 40th anniversary.

We are pleased and honoured to have served our community for 40 years and we celebrated the day with a garden party that was filled with music, entertainment, food, fun and laughter.

Our garden party was opened by the Lord Mayor of Canterbury, Counsellor Alister Brady.

It was also a privilege to also honour our proprietor Mrs. Morton who opened the RedHouse in 1986.  Mrs. Morton was the Matron Manager. We were also pleased to say thank you to Margaret Sopp who was the night nurse when the RedHouse opened in 1986.

Mrs. Morton’s chosen charity this year, Catching Lives has now received £1,000.00 from the raffle and donations on the day and was presented to their manager Graeme Solly.  Graeme would like to thank everyone who supported the raffle as the money will make a huge difference to the charity.

The garden party was a time for residents, family, friends and staff past and present to relax and enjoy themselves.  We all had a very happy special day.
